Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was established in January 1997 for advancement of technical education & development. The University has under its affiliation 71 Engineering & Architect, 117 Management & Hotel Management and 32 Pharmacy colleges.
To address this issue of Technical Manpower shortage and to usher into a new era of Industrial Development comparable to International Standards, the Punjab Government constituted Punjab Technical University (PTU) in 1997.
As of today, PTU affiliates about 220 Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Architecture colleges in the State that are approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Chaudhary Devi Lal University - Sirsa
Chaudhary Devi Lal University was instituted by the Government of Haryana in 2003 by an Act of the Legislative Assembly. The University has been named in the honour of the former Deputy Prime Minister of India Late Chaudhary Devi Lal, who is popularly known as "Jan Nayak".

Chaudhary Charan Singh Agricultural University, popularly known as HAU, is located in Hissar (Haryana). It was initially a campus of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab. In 1966, with the division of Punjab and Haryana, HAU became an independent land grant institution. Since then, HAU has become internationally known not only for its advances in high yielding grain and cotton varieties but also for its scenic campus.
The first Vice-Chancellor of HAU, Mr. A. L. Fletcher dedicated many years of his life in making HAU one of the best known institutions in Asia. BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya - Haryana
The B.P.S. Mahila Vishwavidyalaya was established under a Legislative Notification passed in November 2006. Prior to this it was a Kanya Gurukul which was started by Bhagat Phool Singh way back in 1936. He fought for his cause with conviction and in November 2006, the Gurukul was finally made into the First Women University of North India under a Legislative notification bearing the name of Bhagat.
The University is the only Rural Womens University in the country.

Utkal University, the seventh oldest university of India, was established in 1943. The present campus of the university is located in Bhubaneswar at Vani Vihar campus. The campus of the Utkal University spreads over 399.9 acres of land.

The grand hall of this institution was a theatre of history : on the 1st of April'1936 it was the venue for the declaration of Orissa as a separate province; thereafter it housed the state's first legislative assembly upto and even after Independence till it was shifted to Bhubaneswar, the new capital of the state. During Quit India Movement of 1942 the students of this institution brought down the Union Jack as a mark of nationalistic fervour.
The College originally was affiliated to Calcutta University and thereafter to Patna University in 1917 and was finally affiliated to Utkal University in 1943.

KIIT University - Bhubaneswar
KIIT University, first known as Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, is a private university founded in 2004. It is located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India.
